SUBSTANCE: invention refers to process of assembly of optical device, mirror of X-ray telescope possessing first and second longitudinal ends and incorporating N coaxial inserts forming elemental mirror, in particular. Each insert goes under mentioned first and second ends and presents some first diameter on mentioned first end and some second diameter exceeding first on mentioned second end. According to invention assembly is started from insert located further away from center, inserts are installed and fixed with their ends of smaller diameter in base.
