COLOR CATHODE-RAY TUBE HAVING SUPPORTING-BEZELASSEMBLY WITH VOLTAGE-REDUCING MEANS Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: color cathode-ray tubes with voltage mask connected to flexible supporting bezel having pressure-reducing means. SUBSTANCE: cathode-ray tube incorporating voltage mask and supporting-bezel assembly is characterized in that supporting bezel assembly is rectangular and has two long sides parallel to its longer axis and two short sides parallel to its shorter axis. Bezel assembly has two first components parallel to longer axis and two second components connected to ends of first components which are parallel to shorter axis. Each of first components has stiff section and flexible section overhanging from stiff section. Flexible section has remote end and close end. Mask is attached to remote ends of flexible sections. At least one of flexible sections incorporates part made of alloy and bimetal part for reducing voltage across metal conductors of mask when they are exposed to high temperature about 425 C and for recovering voltage across mask conductors when temperature reduces below this value and ranges between 23 and 65 C.
