FIELD: production of anisotropic films. SUBSTANCE: process of formation of anisotropic film provides for application of colloid system on substrate, external orientation influence on system to ensure predominant orientation of particles of colloid system and drying of applied layer. In addition thermal treatment of layer on surface of substrate is conducted in process of application of layer and/or after its application by at least single directed translation of temperature zone along surface of substrate. Thermal treatment is conducted at humidity not less than 60% and temperature of layer should not exceed temperature of phase transition of colloid system. Lyotropic liquid crystal, sol or gel can be utilized in the capacity of colloid system. Simultaneously with local heating the rest of substrate and/or layer of colloid system can be cooled locally or completely. EFFECT: improved characteristics of formed film over its entire area, increased degree of anisotropy, raised degree of crystallinity, enlarged super molecular complexes and enhanced thermal stability of film. 20 cl
