FIELD: mechanical engineering, repair of blades used in aviation and power turbine manufacture. SUBSTANCE: process includes preparation of electrolyte, placement of article carrying metal coat in electrolyte and transmission of electric current through article carrying metal coat. Proposed electrolyte contains at least one inorganic acid selected from group of nitric, sulfuric, hydrochloric, phosphoric acids and water. Two articles carrying metal coats as minimum are simultaneously placed in electrolyte and alternating current of 220 or 380 V and frequency 50 Hz is transmitted through them. If there are three or more articles with metal coats they are divided into three groups and simultaneous machining of all articles is carried out with connection of each group to separate phase of A C three-phase network. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of process of removal of heat-resisting metal coat from surface of article of intricate shape made of heat-proof alloy, raised quality of articles thanks to exclusion of uncontrolled change of geometry of sharp edges, employment of simpler equipment. 2 cl, 1 tbl
