FIELD: oil and chemical mechanical engineering; shut-off devices for pipe lines. SUBSTANCE: proposed gate valve has body consisting of two interconnected parts. Each part of body is provided with spring-loaded seats having straight-way passages at diameter "d" and taper inlets at angle α1. Mounted turnably between seats is disk gate having diameter "D" forming adjusting zone; this disk is engageable with parts of body through contour sealing members. Replaceable pipe union mounted in straight-way hole of gate for axial motion by amount not exceeding clearance between parts of body and disk gate has straight-way hole at diameter d1 and taper inlets at angle α2. End surfaces of replaceable pipe union are spherical in shape at radius of R= 1.6-2D. Angle α2 of taper inlet of replaceable pipe union is equal to angle α1 of taper inlet of straight-way holes in seats. Each part of body is provided with through holes opposite each other at radius equal to radius of throughway hole in gate at some distance from straight-way holes in seats equal to length of regulating zone. Diameter of these holes exceeds diameter of straight-way hole in gate. These holes are closed with plugs. Diameter of straight-way holes in seats is lesser than diameter of straight-way hole in gate. Amount of clearance between disk gate and parts of body is equal to 0.5-0.1 of width of contour sealing member. EFFECT: extended functional capabilities; enhanced operational reliability. 4 dwg
