FIELD: oil and chemical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed gate valve has housing consists of two half-housings divided by spacer ring. Seats with through channels installed in half-housings. Disk gate with gear rim and through holes of different diameters is installed between half-housings for rotation around its axle. With disk gate being turned, holes register with through channels in seats in turn. Spacer ring is provided with sector cutout accommodating toothed or warm gear train connected with shaft-gear and gear rim of disk gate. Gate valve contains drive mechanism consist of housing containing also two half-housings. Shaft-gear is installed in housing of drive mechanism. Gear train can be installed also in housing of drive mechanism. Disk gate is made up of separate gear rim, powdered ceramic material insert with through holes, and bushing. Half-housings of gate valve and drive mechanism are made in form of solids of revolution. Shaft-gear is connected with dial. Each seat is furnished with spring and sealing rings insulating spring. Sealing rings are installed in half-housings of gate valve over edge of disk gate.
EFFECT: reduced overall dimensions and metal usage of gate valve, increased reliability of gate valve owing to separation of gate valve space from drive mechanism members.
