FIELD: oil and chemical engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention is designed for use as shutoff device in pipelines. Proposed gate valve has housing consisting of two parts, with spacer ring rigidly secured in between. Disk gate with through channel is installed in inner space of spacer ring for turning in its plane. Gate interacts with support surfaces of housing through thrust bearings in form of contour sealing members. Gate turning mechanism consists of toothed sector made on gate and drive gear engaging with sector. Disk gate is aligned relative to inner diameter of spacer ring. Segment lubricating groove is made on inner surface of spacer ring symmetrically to drive gear from side of toothed sector. Length of lubricating groove is equal to length of adjusting zone. Diameter of through channel in gate is equal to 0.25-0.4 of its outer diameter. Thrust bearings in form of contour sealing members are installed on end face surfaces of gate. EFFECT: simplified design of gate valve by reducing its overall dimensions and weight, improved reliability in operation. 3 dwg
