FIELD: medicine, analytical chemistry. SUBSTANCE: analyzed sample and standard antipyrine solution are applied on silica gel plate of sort "Sorbfil" and chromatography is carried out in the system water : acetic acid taken in their volume ratio 3:1 for 10 min. Then plate is hold at temperature 50 C for 2-3 min and treated with reagent containing Ehrlich's reagent in mixture with acetic and phosphoric acid followed by repeated holding at temperature 50 C for 2-3 min. Antipyrine content in analyzed sample is determined by squares of spots in sample and standard. Method provides high precision and sensitivity in determination of antipyrine in biological objects and method is based on using cheap and available reagents.
