FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to analytical chemistry and specifically to methods of standardisation of medicinal preparations, medicinal plant raw materials, products of food, chemical and cosmetological industries for content of ascorbic acid and can be used in pharmaceutical, chemical and cosmetological industries. Method of identifying and determining degree of purity and quantitative content of ascorbic acid using high-performance thin-layer chromatography. Method is characterised by possibility of quantitative interpretation of ascorbic acid TLC using office computer. Use of two calibration curves in method allows considerably enlarging its scope of application (quality control as substance and mono-component dosage forms of vitamin C, and medicinal plant raw materials, multicomponent medicinal preparations, biologically active additives, food, chemical and cosmetic industry products). Method is characterised by possibility of determining quantitative content of vitamin C in samples with low content thereof, eliminating procedure of concentration of solutions, due to high sensitivity of detection of ascorbic acid. Proposed in method reagent is capable to operate with water extractions of medicinal plant raw material, which contain complex of biologically active substances, and selectively determine content of ascorbic acid in sample.
EFFECT: technical result is high accuracy, as well as possibility of simultaneous authentication, degree of purity and quantitative determination of ascorbic acid, separation of complex mixtures and separation of ascorbic acid from other biologically active substances in one- and multi-component medicinal preparations, biologically active additives, medicinal plant raw material, articles of food, chemical and cosmetological industries.
