FIELD: equipment for webs joining, particularly for cigarette packing machine. SUBSTANCE: device 7 provides connection of the first web 5a passing along the first trajectory with the second web 5b moving along the second trajectory. Device has the first guiding and support means 18 for the first web 5a and the second guiding and support means 14 for the second web 5b. The first and the second guiding and support means 18, 14 are movable one relative to another to bring together part 61 of the first web 5a and part 60 of the second web 5b. Heat-sealing unit 48 may be moved between initial position and working position for squeezing and heat-sealing parts 61, 60 of the first and the second webs 5a, 5b between heat-sealing unit and the second guiding and support means 14. Device has cutting means, which includes movable member 55. Movable member 55 intersects at least one of the first and the second webs 5a, 5b and cuts the web 5a, 5b by fusion of web 5a, 5b part connecting with heating member 55.
