FIELD: mechanical engineering; sliding bearings. SUBSTANCE: proposed sliding bearing shell contains carrying sublayer and at least one metal sliding layer applied by electron-beam spraying and having in multicomponent matrix material at least one finely dispersed component whose atomic weight exceeds atomic weight of multicomponent matrix material. Concentration of finely dispersed component decreases continuously from top zone of shell to interface zone. Method of manufacture of sliding bearing shell with at least one sliding layer of metal alloy applied on carrying sublayer in chamber for application of coating by electron-beam spraying and whose matrix-type material contains finely dispersed component whose atomic weight is greater than atomic weight of matrix material comes to the following: gas pressure in zone of shell to P in process of application of coating is set to 0.1-5 Pa. Bearing shell manufactured by proposed method features high antiscoring capacity at high loads and alignment of parts in combination with high maximum load-carrying capacity until tend to scoring appears. Invention proposed non-expensive method of manufacture of shells using electron-beam spraying with provision of uniform thickness of layer over entire circumference of bearing shell.
