FIELD: mechanical engineering; elevators. SUBSTANCE: in proposed belt bucket elevator containing flexible belt with fitted-on buckets arranged in carrying housing and closed on drive and tension drums, device for catching torn off belt with buckets is made in form of cantilever horizontally orientated pins secured on side walls of buckets and two bell-cranks located in upper part of housing and installed for turning on axle-shafts secured on side walls of housing along elevator axis. In initial position, both bell cranks are arranged at acute angle α in direction of travel of load-carrying run of belt and are spring-loaded by some arms relative to housing on which stops are secured for engagement with opposite other arms of bell cranks and fixing the latter in horizontal position. Value of angle α is chosen equation α<arccos l/l+d where l is length of bell crank arm measured from axis of turning and chosen to provide overlapping of pin on bucket when bell crank is in horizontal position, d is diameter of pin on bucket. Curvilinear profile stops are secured on bushing walls in line with bell cranks. Convexities of stops are pointed to side of bell cranks, stops being installed with clearance relative to bell cranks smaller than diameter d of pins on buckets. Upper part of housing over drive drum is provided with two hatches with sealed doors to provide access through hatches to load-carrying and return runs of elevator. EFFECT: simplified design of running part, reduced labor input at replacement and repair of buckets and restoration of torn-off belt. 2 dwg
