FIELD: electrochemistry. SUBSTANCE: invention refers to electrolytes forming high-quality, uniform, corrosion-, heat-and wear-resistant coats on surfaces of articles made of aluminum or its alloys. Given electrolyte contains, g/l: boric acid 20.0-30.0; potassium hydroxide 4.0-6.0; starch 6.0-12.0; water being the balance. EFFECT: enhanced uniformity, corrosion resistance and microhardness of coats as well as endurance of electrolyte in process of its utilization. 1 tbl
