FIELD: electrochemistry, namely electrolytes for forming on surfaces of articles of aluminum and it alloys high quality, uniform corrosion-, heat and wear resistant coatings.
SUBSTANCE: electrolyte contains, g/l: boric acid, 20 -30; potassium hydroxide, 4 - 6; alumina, 20 - 25; water, the balance. Time period for applying coating is shortened approximately by 1.5 times.
EFFECT: shortened time period for applying coating of desired thickness, micro-hardness and wear resistance, lowered power consumption.
