FIELD: electrical power engineering. SUBSTANCE: three-phase symmetrical conductor with mobile phases-buses is employed in current-limiting device as electrodynamic mechanism. Under short-circuit condition mobile phases-buses travel in radial direction at angle of 120 degrees one relative another and enter bosoms of ferromagnetic masses. Substantial counter emfs emerge with this in mobile phases-buses, which is equivalent to bringing reactive resistors into network. On termination of emergency condition mobile phases-buses return to initial position under action of springy members. EFFECT: simplified design with preservation of current limiting effectiveness. 2 dwg
