METHOD OF LIMITING OF SHORT-CIRCUIT CURRENT AND GEAR FOR ITS IMPLEMENTATION Russian patent published in 1994 - IPC

FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: method is intended for circuits of protection against breakdowns under excess currents of short-circuit. Short- circuit current is detected with threshold element. Electrodynamic efforts are used to insert current-limiting element into network. Gear for implementation of method consists of immobile and mobile parts placed in series into circuit of working current. Mobile part is coupled to restoring element specifying value of current setting as well as to mobile part of contact group which inserts current-limiting element into network with the use of rigid element.
