FIELD: medicine; medical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method involves suturing defect in several stages. The first involves reducing tracheostoma or trachea defect area by introducing compression device into trachea lumen. The second and following stages involve carrying out diepithelialization of defect boundary and suturing it all over its perimeter using purse-string suture under tension. The suture is done using superelastic thread from titanium nickelide of 0.08-0.1 mm thickness and stitch step equal to 2.5-3 mm. Then, the strained thread ends are tied in knot. The compression device is manufactured from titanium nickelide possessing shape memory properties. The device is manufactured as bobbin formed by spiral spring and coils adjacent to each other. Cervical part of the bobbin is shaped as cylindrical spiral. Bobbin cheeks are flat spiral-shaped. The cheeks are produced for reducing defect edge from outer and inner side.
EFFECT: strengthened surgical intervention results; reduced risk of traumatic complications.
