FIELD: fire-extinguishing powders for extinguishing classes A, B, C and E fires.
SUBSTANCE: fire-extinguishing powder includes ammophos in amount of 1-35 % by weight, ammonium sulfate in amount of 0.001 - 50 % by weight, fine hydrophobic silicon dioxide in amount of 0.5 - 5.0 % by weight; remainder is non-soluble in water mineral or mineral mixture. Minerals are chosen from dolomite, talc, talcum- magnesite, apatite, magnesite, tiff, phlogopite, muscovite. Fine hydrophobic silicon dioxide is in the form of deposited silica processed by organic silicon compound having specific surface area not less than 80 m2/g or is in the form of pyrogenic silicon dioxide with specific surface area of 150 - 400 m2/g, bulk density of 50 - 200 g/dm3 inclusive and with hydrophoby degree of not less than 95%.
EFFECT: increased fluidity, fire-extinguishing capability, apparent bulk density, prevention of powder caking, improved other operational characteristics.
