FIELD: polymer production.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to catalytic production of a polymer, in particular to production of α-olefin polymers. A (co)polymer is produced in the form of solid particles via gas-phase catalytic polymerization, wherein monomer(s) is (are) present in gaseous reaction medium. Corona discharge is created in at least part of space occupied by indicated fluid reaction medium or by fluid initial stream routed to polymerization reactor. Corona discharge is created between discharge pair elements, voltage drop applied between these elements being between 3000 and 70000 v. Indicated corona discharge is generated with the aid of device consisting of an internal rod-like conduit, which has needle-shaped emitters disposed perpendicularly to indicated rod, and a pipe surrounding this rod and being coaxial with it. The pipe is insulated from the rod and provided with round holes, which match each emitter and are coaxial with emitters. Apparatus for performing gas-phase polymerization process consists of a fluidized-bed reactor; gas recycle line provided with a gas circulation means and a cooling means; monomer supply line; line for introducing catalyst into reactor; a means for removing polymer particles from reactor. Apparatus is supplemented by above-mentioned device for creating corona discharge in reactor, in gas recycle line, or in gas-supply line.

EFFECT: eliminated formation of layers and agglomeration without use of antistatics.
