FIELD: application of hard wear-resistant coatings by electrolysis, for example iron-cobalt coatings used restoration of part surfaces.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of depositing iron-cobalt coating from electrolyte containing, g/l: iron chloride, 350-400; cobalt chloride, 5 -50; hydrochloric acid, 0.5 - 2 with use of alternating asymmetrical electric current with asymmetry factor 1.2 - 6 at temperature of electrolyte 30-50 C in range of cathode electric current density 30 - 60 A/sq.dm.
EFFECT: enhanced micro hardness, improved wear resistance and adhesion strength of coating.
