FIELD: thermal engineering; coal combustion in furnaces of thermal power stations.
SUBSTANCE: process includes coal dispersion and injection in combustion chamber; during dispersion coal is pulverized to particle size not over 20 μm and at the same time activated primarily by means of mechanical mills disposed in immediate proximity of combustion chamber; during mechanical activation coal particles are protected against environmental impacts and then they are injected in combustion chamber in directed flow. Coal particle distribution in two-phase flow being injected is adjusted by way of gas swirling and twisting. Optimal axial component of two-phase flow injection speed is ensured by varying pressure within combustion chamber. Optimal tangential speed component of two-phase flow is attained by varying flowrate of gas introduced in mechanical mills.
EFFECT: improved process and environment control parameters; reduced amount of pollutants emitted into atmosphere.
