FIELD: devices for measuring mass flow of a fluid or a fluent solid material, particularly flowmeters.
SUBSTANCE: method involves exciting oscillations of flowmeter flow-tube and balancer arranged parallel to flow-tube and connected to flow-tube by ties. Due to redistribution of mass and rigidity along balancer length resonance frequency of balancer in oscillation regime having the same points as periodic Coriolis deflection of oscillating flow-tube is below excitation frequency of flowmeter. Deflections are induced into balancer oscillating in antiphase to flow-tube in response to Coriolis deflection. Deflections into balancer are induced on excitation frequency and are similar to Coriolis deflections and have the same number of points as periodic Coriolis deflection of above flow-tube.
EFFECT: enhanced sensibility due to increased balancer amplitude of oscillation.
