FIELD: measurement technology.

SUBSTANCE: balancing rod for Coriolis flowmeter with straight tube is made by casting which provides increased number of elements comprising single unit with rod, namely, fastening rods, ribs on each side of rod along its length to increase frequency of cross oscillations, plain surfaces to facilitated fastening to rod and flow tube of excitation device and pickups, cavities decreasing rigidity of balancing rod and decreasing its resonance frequency in second mode of bending oscillations to make it equal to resonance frequency of flow tube filled with substance. Ribs increase area of cross section of balancing rod on section near cavities for increasing its axial rigidity.

EFFECT: provision of constant coefficient of calibration of flowmeter within wide range of fluid medium density.
