METHOD OF BUILDING UP OF THRUST AND DEVICE FOR IMPLEMENTS SAID METHOD Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: mechanical engineering; power generating devices of vehicles.

SUBSTANCE: proposed method comes to delivery of gas mixture into working chamber for further conversion at speed exceeding local sound speed. Gas mixture includes exothermically active components. Gas mixture is first delivered into inverter space of working chamber, and then, through peripheral ring slot, is directed into converter space where internal energy of flow of nonequilibrium gas mixture is converted into propulsive force. Method is implemented by means of device containing working chamber for conversion of gas mixture which is made in form of axially symmetrical solid of revolution and is divided by impermeable axially symmetrical partition into two spaces, one of which, inverter one, being provided with at least single-start spiral channel generating from asymptotic center and widening in direction of peripheral ring slot. Other space, converter one, is made with semi-closed, at least single-start spiral channel, converging from peripheral ring slot towards asymptotic center. Invention makes it possible to enlarged power capabilities at creation of thrust, improved organization of control of processes of formation of nonequilibrium gas mixture and conversion of its internal energy into propulsive force and increase specific and absolute traction characteristics.

EFFECT: reduced mass and overall dimensions of thrust devices.
