FIELD: test engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method of tooth gear diagnostics concludes in measurement of acoustic signals of acoustic emission on case of rotating bearing or on surface of one out of not rotating rings of bearing which is installed on shaft with diagnosed pinion gear. The following is measured: value of an outlier of maximal amplitudes of acoustic emission signals following successively and uninterrupted in time in equal, successive time intervals with frequency of selection from 50 microseconds to 0.1 microsecond in a specified frequency band of from 30 to 300 kHz, then the duration time of the outlier of maximal successive and uninterrupted in time signals of acoustic emission, and further - the time interval between outliers of maximal uninterrupted in time signals of acoustic emission for duration of not less, than one turn of a wheel of the tooth gear. On base of determined time interval between outliers of maximal uninterrupted in time signals of acoustic emission and time of duration of outliers of maximal signals of acoustic emission the size and location of defect are calculated with formulas suggested in the description. The technical state of the tooth gear is assessed by means of comparing of the defect size revealed by diagnostics to allowed defect size, on the basis of technical and operational characteristics of the tooth gear for time of not less, than one rotation of the wheel.
EFFECT: upgraded validity of control and measurement of defect size.
