FIELD: manufacture of fittings; steam, water, gas and liquid pipe lines.
SUBSTANCE: proposed shut-off adjusting valve has body with inlet and outlet holes for working medium, seat with taper sealed surface, gland chamber, gland ring stack with washer, main bush, hold-down member and stem connected with handle and shut-off member. Lower part of stem is provided with circular bore for receiving the locking member. Shut-off member is provided with internal bore for locking member and flat located inside hole perpendicularly relative to axis. Size of internal bore for locking member exceeds width of said circular bore of stem. End of lower part of stem is provided with stepped bore for mounting the elastic member in stage of larger diameter. Hole of elastic member is connected coaxially with ball which is engageable with flat inside th hole of shut-off member and is located at clearance relative to bottom of stage of bore of lesser diameter.
EFFECT: enhanced reliability and durability at high pressure and temperature due to compensation for errors arising due to temperature deformation.
