METHOD FOR PREDICTING ENDOGENIC INTOXICATION SYNDROME IN PATIENTS WITH ABDOMINAL SEPSIS Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

Abstract RU 2232392 C1

FIELD: medicine, anesthesiology, resuscitation.

SUBSTANCE: in patients one should detect daily beginning fro the first day of postoperational intensive therapy the index of endogenic intoxication syndrome (IEIS) by the following formula:

where ALMWS erythrocytes - total content of average and low molecular weight substances in erythrocytes, ALMWS plasma - their total content in plasma, ALMWS urine - their content in urine. At IEIS values being below 2.3 one should detect the stage of compensated EIS; at values ranged 2.3-4.5 - the stage of subcompensated EIS and at values being above 4.5 - the stage of decompensated EIS. The method enables to carry out diagnostics of EIS at earlier terms in dynamics of intensive postoperational therapy by taking into account disorders in ALMWS renal outflow and evaluate efficiency of curative measures conducted.

EFFECT: higher efficiency and accuracy of diagnostics.
