FIELD: radio detection and ranging, in particular, secondary monopulse radars with through phase channels, in which automatic phase-lock control is accomplished by the signals of a remote reference transponder.
SUBSTANCE: the monopulse radar has an antenna from the left-hand and right-hand channels making up parallel through phase channels with units of controlled phase shifters, reception - transmission switches, amplifiers, it also has a phase detector and an automatic phase-lock control unit, the output through the introduced A/D and the correction unit is connected to the information input, whose strobing inputs are connected to the outputs of the strobe shapers, the half-sum and the half-difference of the errors measured in the middle points of the left-hand and right-hand branches of the direction finder characteristic are formed with the aid of the units. Automatic adjustment of the position of the direction finder characteristic relative to the origin of co-ordinates is performed with the aid of the half-sum of the errors, and the slope of the direction finder characteristic is corrected with the aid of the half-difference.
EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of azimuth measurement and simplified conditions of service due to simultaneous automatic adjustment of the position of the direction finder characteristic relative to the origin of co-ordinates and its slope.
