FIELD: processes specially adapted for applying liquids or other fluent materials to surfaces, particularly for metal surfaces.
SUBSTANCE: sheet of aluminum alloy is covered with primary coat comprising product of reaction between aluminum oxide or aluminum hydroxide and vinyl phosphonic acid and acrylic acid copolymer. Then the sheet in coated with polymeric composition including polyvinylchloride and epoxy resin. Coated sheet is used for forming bodies of food containers or for producing end cups for closing aluminum food or beverage containers.
EFFECT: enhanced corrosion resistance of substrates formed of aluminum alloy used for food containers production, improved bonding affinity to polymers.
