FIELD: food industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention is designed for use in oil-extraction plants and sugar mills. According to proposed method raw material is delivered into upper tank of column evaporator. In process of stirring and treatment with live steam, material gradually passes downwards the column through pass holes in tank bottoms and it gets discharged from lower tank in form of ready dry product. Simultaneously, mixture of vapors of water and solvent formed in tanks is let out through branch pipes into aspiration pipe and gets through inclined tangential branch pipe into ring clearance between housing of expander and cylindrical partition connected to cover of expander housing from below. Particles of material settled on walls of expander housing are removed by rotating scrapers and are returned into mass of raw material to be treated. Velocity of flow of mixture of water and solvent vapors exceeds peripheral velocity of scrapers 2-4 times. Tangent of angle of tilting of branch pipe to horizontal plane is form 0.45 to 0.55 from ratio
EFFECT: reduced material losses by decreasing training of material particles through discharge branch pipe.
