FIELD: electrochemical processes for finishing surfaces, namely electrochemical polishing of metal surfaces.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of electrochemical polishing in aqueous thiosulfate solution by means of pulse electric current at next parameters of potential change of worked electrode: shape of potential change - triangle, bipolar; rate v of potential change - more than 20 mV/s and less than 100 mV/s; potential change range of worked electrode - 0.8V <ΔEa< 1.0 V; (-0.8 V) <ΔEk< (-0.3 V); number n of cycles of changing potential 5≤5n≤10.
EFFECT: enhanced quality of polishing surface of silver and its alloys.
