FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: double axial asynchronous machine with in-built brake mechanism comprises a prefabricated symmetric body with the central circular cavity, stator, rotor, magnet cores of stator and rotor with windings, side shields with bearings, the rotor shaft, brake mechanism and a spring. The stator frame is made as an outer cylindrical rim and forms an integral part of the central backing plate, at which axial surfaces the stator magnet cores with windings are fixed rigidly. The rotor shaft is of double-stepped type. Distance between shoulders placed closer to the shaft centre is more than distance between outer axial surfaces of the stator magnet cores per a value twice as big as the value of operating air gap. The rotor packs are made as annular disks with a brake spring installed between them so that they may be moved in axial direction along the axis.
EFFECT: improving operational reliability, simplifying manufacturing technology at simultaneous reduction of own costs.
