METHOD FOR EVALUATING FUNCTIONAL STATE IN PATIENTS WITH PATHOLOGY IN ARTICULATIONS OF INFERIOR LIMBS DURING REHABILITATION Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

Abstract RU 2233619 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: one should study clinico-functional signs both before and after therapy due to measuring the following features: maximum quantity of times when patient could stand up from a high chair; the lowest height of the chair from which patient could either stand up or to which he could sit down, in cm: 35,40,45,50,>55; the height of the step to which patient could stand, for each leg separately, in cm: 45,40,35,23,17,<10; the time for patient's standing on one leg, in sec: for each leg individually. Then one should compare initial value of each sign to the degree of its gain in percentage. Moreover, the first sign has got 1 point at 50% gain of this sign - at initial value up to 20 times; by 25% - at initial value ranged 20-40 times and at any gain - at initial value being above 40 times; the second and the third signs have got either 1 or more points at transition from one height of support to another; the fourth sign, correspondingly, has got 1 point at 50% gain - at its initial value up to 30 sec; by 25% - at initial value ranged 30-60 sec and at any gain - at initial value being above 60 sec, then one should sum up the quantity of the points obtained and, if this quantity is equal to 1 dynamics of patient's state is considered to be " inconsiderably improved", at the sum of points being 2-4 dynamics should be evaluated as "improved" and at the sum of points being about 5-6 one may conclude upon "considerable improvement" of patient's functional state.

EFFECT: increased accuracy of evaluation.
