FIELD: chemical industry.
SUBSTANCE: the invention is dealt with manufacture of items from plastics materials, in particular - screw caps. The mold consists of a semi-mold - die and a semi-mold - puncheon, levelled to each other by a vertical axis. The semi-mold - puncheon consists of a bush and a puncheon, that is placed inside the bush and movable in respect to it. The semi-mold - die contains a supporting plate, a sleeve, that together with the supporting plate forms a cavity for location of a portion of a plastic material subject to molding. The sleeve of the semi-mold - die is made guided along the supporting plate and has a shoulder, that serves as a stop for the bush in the molding time. The sleeve is capable to move in respect to the supporting plate in direction opposite to action of an elastic returnable mean and that provides the puncheon entering in the cavity of the semi-mold - die The invention provides a capability to keep portions of semi-liquid plastic materials in the cavity of the semi-mold - die irrespective of a produced item final form without deviations of a semi-mold - die and the semi-mold - puncheon from their precise alignment.
