FIELD: niobium and its oxides; partial reduction of, and capacitors built around, niobium oxide.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes heat treatment of niobium oxide in environment of getter material in atmosphere that makes it possible to transfer niobium oxygen atoms to getter material within sufficient time period and at sufficient temperature so as to produce niobium oxide of reduced oxygen content. Niobium oxides and/or sub-oxides, as well as capacitors incorporating anodes made of niobium oxides and sub-oxides are also described. Description of invention is also concerned with use of binders and/or lubricating materials and also with anode production methods.
EFFECT: enhanced capacitor rating and reduced dc leaks.
