FIELD: orthopedics.
SUBSTANCE: resection of affected vertebras is performed and vertebral canal is exposed followed by removal from its lumen of pus, granulations, and sequestra, and then frontal spondylosyndesis with autotransplants. Defect of anterior wall of the vertebral canal is substituted with film derived from the demineralized bone matrix covered with a restricted muscle flap formed from intercostal muscles in thoracic portion or square muscle of loin in the lumbar portion of backbone.
EFFECT: prevented cicatrical-commisural process around spinal cord shells after decompressive-restorative operations and prevented development of secondary neurological disorders during postoperative period due to restored anterior wall of the vertebral canal.
