FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines.
SUBSTANCE: proposed rotary timing mechanism contains cylinder head with intake and exhaust ports and channels and cylindrical rotor with cross segment-shaped intake and exhaust slots. Bypass channels are made in head differing in design to provide bypass of fuel-air charge from intake slots for intake into other cylinders or delivery of charge through exhaust slots for afterburning or supply of vapor-forming or combustion addition through exhaust slots. Rotor and head seal is made in form of sealed movable partition separating surface of head from cylinder space on which two shaped through projections are made from side of head getting into intake and exhaust ports of head corresponding to said projections over outer contour. End face surfaces of projections are made identical to cylindrical surface of rotor, and through threaded channel for connection with nozzle or spark plug is made on surface of partition.
EFFECT: reduced fuel consumption of internal combustion engine.
