FIELD: communications engineering; shaping pseudorandom noise sequence for fast altering of shifts.
SUBSTANCE: one or more PR noise sequence generators being loaded are controlled by digital-signal processor or microprocessor together with off-line counter that conducts reference reading of shifts. PR noise sequence generator usually functions as part of pointer for selector. Each PR noise sequence generator has line feedback shift register or its equivalent being loaded, counter being loaded to maintain index of state of particular PR noise sequence generator, and alter control unit designed to receive instruction to alter and control line feedback shift register and index counter for advancing or delaying shift by definite distance. Speed is enhanced by controlling digital-signal processor. Memory saves states of line feedback shift register and respective numbers of indices. States of line feedback shift register subdivide general probable number of states. It will be good practice to spread stored states over PR noise circle. Digital-signal processor ensures fast alter by executing two-step process. First PR noise sequence generator is loaded so as to shift to closest state using table and then alter control unit of PR noise sequence generator is used to shift to remaining part of route.
EFFECT: enhanced altering speed.
