FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method involves producing conjunctival and superficial scleral flap, removing deep scleral layers area. External Schlemm's canal wall is excised on the extent of scleral flap bed. At least three dehydrated hydrogel spreader implants are introduced into Schlemm's canal lumen all over its circumference. The hydrogel possesses properties of augmenting its volume 1.5-5 times as much. Spreader implants length, width and height in dehydrated state is not to be greater than 1/2-3/4 of Schlemm's canal width. YAG-laser is used for additionally splitting trabecula immediately above the spreader implants with power of 1.5-10.0 mJ in an impulse with impulse exposure time being equal to 4 ns, wavelength of 1.064 nm.
EFFECT: enhanced hypotensive effectiveness.
