SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of placing plate to be clad relative to cladding plate by angle γ providing at collision realization of contact speed Vk = (0.4 - 0.6) Co; separating charge of explosion matter from surface of cladding plate by means of shock absorbing backing; realizing throwing of cladding plate by action of pressure of gases generated in barrel of throwing installation due to combustion of powder charge; selecting mass of charge according to condition of realizing contact speed values Vc at collision providing in joining zone energy value consumed for plastic deformation of metal.
EFFECT: low cost of explosion welding process, possibility for protecting cladding plate against mechanical damages at welding process, desired condition for plastic deformation of metal at forming welded joint with high operational characteristics.
