FIELD: heavy-duty rail structures.
SUBSTANCE: proposed rail unit contains rails, rail baseplate and clamps, and it is installed on crane beam. Rail baseplate is made of rolled T-section with wall orientated upwards. Holder is tightly fitted on wall of T-section and is connected with wall by press-fitted pins. Flanges with horizontal sections are installed symmetrically relative to vertical axis, thus forming two channels relative to T-section wall. Rail is placed in each channel. One foot of each rail is cut off. Rails are arranged with side surfaces of neck adjoining side surfaces of holder to form symmetrical pair. Cutoff feet f rails are located under holder. Holder is in contact from top with rail heads from their lower sides. Clamps with free ends are tightly fitted in clearance between outer surfaces of necks of pair of rails and flanges. Free end of each clamp is jacked up by bolt whose lower end thrusts against horizontal section of corresponding flange. Rail baseplate is connected with horizontal sections of flanges by bolts or studs.
