FIELD: transport engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to railway and industrial track structures designed for high speed running at 450-500 km/h at intensive operation. Proposed lock joint of rail unit has arch rail resting over entire length on continuous rail base plate with two ridges overhanging relative to rail feet and being essentially elements of lock joint interacting with rail clamps. Each of pair of rails is skew-symmetric bull-headed rail with neck tilted relative to vertical line of symmetry at angle of 15-20°. Upper working heads of pair of said rails are tightly closed with each other by side faces forming an arch. Spare heads, being pivots of arch, are fitted in cavities in rail base plate. One side of clamp follows surface of rail neck. Projection of this side of clamp gets from bottom under mating projection of ridge of rail base plate under lower head of each rail. Other side of clamp hangs over said ridge with clearance. Eccentric with shank is fitted in clearance over ridge from left and right from rail unit. Said eccentric is orientated upwards with tilting. With two eccentric shanks engage with wedge of automatic straining device suspended in front of vehicle and moving along rail units, eccentrics engage with clamps and automatically strain and close lock device, thus forming monolithic rail unit with arch from two skew-symmetric rails.
EFFECT: automation of assembling process of rail unit, improved repairability of unit, elimination of impact action of vehicle wheels at butt joints.
