FIELD: petroleum processing and petrochemistry.
SUBSTANCE: feedstock preliminarily mixed with a hydrogen-rich gas is brought into contact with first hydrogenation catalyst. Stream coming out of the first catalyst is separated into gas-phase stream and liquid-phase stream. Second stream obtained after bringing liquid phase stream preliminarily mixed with a hydrogen-rich gas into contact with second hydrogenation catalyst to produce stream coming out of the second catalyst. Between two hydrogenation stages stream receives ammonia. In the other aspect of invention, existing hydrotreating reactor is structurally modified to implement above-described process.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of using catalyst and prolonged its lifetime.
