FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines.
SUBSTANCE: proposed hydraulic tappet consists of cup-like body with outer wall and bottom in which guide bushing is fixed and hydraulic compensator in form of cup and piston is installed. Body is made integral with guide bushing which has cylindrical belt with conical face made with vertex of cone equal to 60o. Concentrically arranged cavity forming ring step with conical surface is made on end face section in body adjacent to cylindrical belt of guide bushing. Said cavity has form of right-angle triangle in section, with smaller side square to axis of body rotation, and hypothesis forms angle of 30o with said axis. Rigid connection of guide bushing with body is provided by solid rolling of ring step of body radially directed inwards, and guide bushing has no clearance in any direction between plastically deformed section of body.
EFFECT: improved reliability of engine valve timing mechanism, simplified design and manufacture of hydraulic tappet.
