FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: proposed invention can be used in valve actuating mechanisms of internal combustion engines. Hydraulic tappet has housing I in form of hollow cylinder 2 closed by bottom 4 at one side. Radial channel 22 to feed oil into ring-shaped oil reservoir 11 is made in thin-walled bushing 5 in zone of contact of bushing with bottom of housing in diametrically opposite side relative to longitudinal oil feed channel 19 made on outer cylinder 6 of thin-walled bushing. Channels 22 and 19 are connected by ring line 21 limited by bottom 4 of housing, and ring concentric groove 20 made on inner cylindrical wall 2 of housing close to bottom. Diametrically opposite arrangement of channels 19 and 22 makes it possible to keep maximum amount of oil in ring oil reservoir 11 which feeds central oil space 16 at inclined arrangement of tappet in different position when engine is shut down.
