FIELD: mechanical engineering; transfer mechanisms. SUBSTANCE: proposed hydraulic tappet has housing 1 made in form of cup with side oil hole 3, cylindrical two-step bushing 5, conical guide bushing 6 and hydraulic compensator. The latter has piston 8, body 9, spacer spring 10, cap 11 and ball valve 12. Bushing 5 is rigidly installed in housing 1 to form clearance between bottom of housing 1 and end face surface of bushing 5 facing the bottom. Bushing 6 is installed inside housing 1, with base or its cone being orientated in direction of bottom of housing 1. Bushing 6 is connected to bushing 5 which is rigidly installed in housing 1 by means of step 5a. Step 5b forms, together with housing 1, clearance to let oil pass into hydraulic compensator space. EFFECT: reduced noise produced by timing valve drive at engine starting, enhanced reliability. 1 dwg
