FIELD: defectoscopy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of nondestructive testing of materials and articles by the thermal monitoring method and can be used to increase the reliability of diagnostics with manual and automated active thermal control of products made of polymer composite materials. Method includes performing a thermal imaging survey of the surface of the article under external stimulation, measuring of the article radiation intensity in the infrared spectrum, receiving an array of thermograms. Thermograms are converted into numerical matrices, which elements are the brightness values of each of the pixels, obtaining a three-dimensional numeric array by inserting the thermogram number as the third dimension, using a robust estimation method, based on calculating of the median of all possible partial angles of inclination, obtaining heating rate matrices, and then generating an artificial thermogram of heating rates.
EFFECT: ensuring reliable interpretation of control results, increasing the defect temperature signal and removal of false defective areas.
