FIELD: ferrous metallurgy, possibly continuous casting processes.
SUBSTANCE: method for feeding steel from intermediate ladle to mold through submersible nozzle comprises steps of twisting main part of discharging steel in limited volume of mold and feeding it into space of mold; feeding small part of steel in non-twisted state into volume of mold according to center of twisted part of steel; twisting mutually adjacent steel flows alike gear wheels being in engagement. Submersible nozzle has bottom and lateral outlet ducts. Said ducts are arranged fan-like at mutual shifting and curving of their axes relative to lengthwise axis of nozzle. Skirt is secured to lower portion of nozzle. Said skirt provides rotation of steel in volume limited by outer surface of nozzle and cylindrical surface of skirt. Rotation of steel provides intensified agitation and volume homogenization of steel composition. Small part of steel enhances thermal homogenization of casting space.
EFFECT: improved homogenization of steel composition.
