FIELD: metallurgy; methods of acting on chemical composition of molten steel.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes tapping of molten metal from metal melting reservoir into ladle through taphole, transfer of melt flow through passage made from refractory material and delivery of elements into metal having effect on its composition. Length of said passage is lesser than length of metal flow and its cross-section is equal to 1.3-1.4 of cross-section of metal flow; elements are delivered in ground and/or granulated form at passage inlet over its perimeter and in its height. Equipment complex proposed for realization of this method includes metal melting reservoir with taphole, ladle, passage for transfer of molten metal from metal melting reservoir into ladle whose working part is made from refractory material. Passage for transfer of molten metal from metal melting reservoir to ladle is mounted vertically and coaxially relative to taphole of metal melting reservoir; devices for delivery of elements changing the chemical composition of molten metal are mounted on several sections of said passage over its perimeter and in height; device for feeding elements in ground form is mounted in height of passage. Proposed method makes it possible to feed deoxidizing agents and/or desulfurizing agents in ground or granulated form into flow of metal, thus accelerating the process of homogenizing of chemical composition of steel in ladle.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency; enhanced ecological conditions in working zones.
