FIELD: metallurgy industry; methods and devices for separation of the clinker at decantation of the molten metal from the converter through the outlet into ladle.
SUBSTANCE: the invention is pertaining to the field of metallurgy industry, in particular, to the method and the devices for separation of the clinker at decantation of the molten metal from the converter through the outlet into ladle. The method provides for the molten metal twice turning downwards after its release from the converter in direction of the ladle, and one time upward. The invention presents the recommendation of the molten metal lift upward. The separation of the clinker is ensured by shutting of the converter outlet by the flat thin steel sheet. The device used for realization of the method of separation of the clinker consists of three coaxially arranged vessels, capacities of which are connected by the channels for transition of the molten metal. The device contains a series of the pneumatic cylinders with the spring-loaded pistons. The action of the springs ensures pressing of the flat thin steel sheet to the outlet opening butt and so the device exercises the overlapping of the outlet at the first stage of the molten metal decantation. The device is supplied with the gear of the periodical mounting of the new overlapping. This gear operates synchronously with the device for separation of the clinker and ensures the periodical mounting of the new overlapping instead of the melted one. Usage of the invention ensures production of the qualitative metal.
